Research and Planning: Textual Analysis





Shot Type and Movement: 2 shot with fade in and pan to the left to show the 2 characters referring back to the start of the film Hanna.


Analysis:
The low angle shot shows the 2 characters of the film suggest that it is narrative base this is supported by the costumes and the setting. Having the characters in the start of the music video shows that it is part of a movie, which is recognizable by a young audience. The location is in the Antarctic, which is seen, in the establishing shot, this adds to the synergy for a movie. There is natural lighting to the left and the colors are mainly white and grey giving a cold atmosphere. There is a sense of intertextuality to the film Hanna because of the main characters, which is familiar with the audience.

Music/Lyrics:
“View to beauty of form and expression of emotion." This is said at the start of the film and music is new to Hanna and is key throughout the film.
